Student Liaison

The IHIMA Student Liaison position is designed to engage Indiana HIM students in the value of volunteerism and professionalism. You will gain invaluable knowledge of the IHIMA Board process and volunteer experience. You will also grow in professionalism, communication and knowledge of HIM. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase yourself as a young professional, meet current Board members, build your resume, and get involved in the Association!

The Student Liaison appointment is based on meeting eligibility requirements. The Student Liaison assumes the position July 1 through June 30 and serves either a one-year or two-year term. The student must be a current student member of AHIMA and choose Indiana as their state association to apply for this position.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a student of an Indiana CAHIIM accredited HIT or HIM program or graduate program.
• Must be a resident of Indiana and he/she must be an active AHIMA/IHIMA member in good standing at the time of appointment and during time of service. 
• Volunteer experience in an HIM setting is preferred.
• Able to attend Board meetings and the IHIMA Annual Meeting & Exhibit.
